The trunnion mount shock has a longer stroke (62.5mm compared to 60mm on the previous generation). And the Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm adds stiffness and lowers overall weight. Adjustable enduro geometry New flip chip technology lets you switch between three settings depending on the terrain. You can select a 63.5, 63.9 or 64.2-degree head angle and corresponding 78.3, 78.7 or 79-degree seat tube angle, resulting in a 35, 30 or 25mm bottom bracket drop (size medium) to fine-tune handling for trail conditions, riding style and rear-wheel size. Rear wheel options Riders can choose either a 29- or 27.5-inch rear wheel, paired with a 29-inch front wheel. The larger 29-inch option improves stability and roll-over capabilities, while the 27.5 option delivers a more agile, snappier feel. It's a quick and easy change to adjust the bike's handling and feel. HIGHLIGHTS This full-composite frameset is engineered with enduro racing geometry and adjustability that lets you change the bike's handling and riding characteristics with three flip chip settings. Also new is the ability to swap out the stock 29-inch rear wheel for a smaller 27.5-inch one. This “mullet” setup makes for an equally short chainstay length and a shorter reach, giving the bike a snappier feel on aggressive terrain. The updated Maestro suspension system has 160mm of rear wheel travel, paired with a 170mm fork up front. And new integrated down tube storage provides convenient carrying capacity for trail riding essentials.

The Trail Bikes that Love to Play The Juliana Furtado has always been more capable than many expected. But now with a high-traction 29-inch wheel up front, a maneuverable 27.5-incher out back, and even more refined suspension, their touch is even more deft on the trails. What if we took everybody's favorite bike and made it a little slacker and little longer? Hell, what if we made it more progressive and coil compatible? So we’ve taken all the acceleration and out-of-the-saddle sprint qualities of a carbon XC race rocket and fused them with a rear-end that still rails corners like a hardcore trail bike. Personal Preference A larger size frame will be more stable and will give you more room to move without upsetting the weight balance of the bike. The larger size will put the front wheel further in front of you, which gives the feeling of security and conversely, it will require more significant body movements when you WANT to shift the weight bias of the bike. Think hard about your riding style and how active/intuitive you want it to be vs. stable and speedy. You'll need to work a bit harder to muscle the larger bike around. Body Dimension Not all bodies at a given height are the same. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso than the average person your height, that may push you towards the smaller of the recommended sizes. If you're all torso and arms, most likely you'll want to size up.

The highly-refined VPP suspension on the Tallboy combines pedaling efficiency and all-out bump-chomping prowess. If ever there was a gravity riders' XC bike, the Tallboy is it. Fully dialed at every size: Proportional Geometry and frame stiffness tune Chainstay length and seat angle are matched to the frame size (STA steepens and rear centre grows as frame size increases) so that every rider, no matter what height, gets the same balance of geometry and handling characteristics. We tailor stiffness for every size to make sure everyone gets the same ride quality. Bigger riders means greater stresses on larger frames, but that's remedied with our size-specific frame stiffness tunes.

The geometry of the Advanced composite frame and swingarm was developed specifically around 29-inch wheels. That means shorter chainstays, a longer toptube, and just the right angles with the headtube (64.56 degrees) and seattube (76.36 degrees). We gave it an updated Maestro rear suspension system with 146mm of travel. The trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm deliver an active, super plush feel on the trail.
